About this deal

The description for the 1 Force March Forcejewel is erroneously also used as the description for the 6 Force March Forcejewel.

Asshole Victim: Shadow was cruel to him and his team... but they'd already put their lot in with Eggman to help take over the world and get power at that point. The entry states that only Dr. Eggman, Amy and Maria's menu themes for Sonic Adventure 2 were released in Japan. While this claim is correct in both Amy and Maria's cases, Eggman's theme was also released in western territories. Shadow, Omochao, and the Secretary's themes (which were Japanese-exclusive) are not mentioned. The Japanese Wii U release date is listed as "May 15, 2013" instead of 2014, while the Japanese PS3 release date is correct. Though the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions were released on the same day in North America and Europe, it isn't specified that out of the two, only the PS3 version was released in Japan. Most of the encyclopedia is about the games, with lists of various monsters and where to find them. A picture is shown of each stage & basic monsters - but not much else. I would've liked to see a few larger screenshots from the games. Bosses & interesting scenery are mentioned often, but the picture of them is so tiny it's difficult to make out details. Just Toying with Them: Infinite rarely actually fights seriously and enjoys toying with his enemies for his own amusement. This is a Fatal Flaw, as playing with his food rather than being pragmatic ultimately royally screws him and Eggman over.

Dragon-in-Chief: Subverted. Eggman probably couldn't have defeated Sonic and taken over most of the world without him. Though Infinite would be absolutely nothing more than a sellsword without Eggman giving him the power of the Phantom Ruby, so it really all evens out. Ultimately, in spite of Infinite's impudence towards Eggman heavily implying a betrayal, it is the doctor that ultimately dismisses him and takes the Phantom Ruby for himself after he fails too many times. Madillo's sprite is incorrectly cropped, having loose pixels from another sprite on the right of said sprite. Power Crystal: The source of Infinite's power is the gem on his chest, a finalized version of the Phantom Ruby prototypes created by Eggman. Psychopathic Manchild: Pretty much the definition of the trope. His whole motivation basically boils down to him throwing a massive tantrum over being humiliated by Shadow. Inferiority Superiority Complex: Heavily implied to have one. Episode Shadow reveals that prior to the game, he was the captain of a mercenary team and touted himself as the "Ultimate Mercenary". That all changed one fateful day when he and his squad were hired by Eggman to protect one of his laboratories in Mystic Jungle, where they encountered Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow effortlessly destroyed his entire squad and handed Infinite a humiliating defeat, which would lead to Infinite's vow to become stronger and led to him obtaining the power of the Phantom Ruby. This is why he constantly boasts about his power: to make himself feel strong. This is also why he objects to Eggman's strategy to retreat after the Death Egg is destroyed. To him, retreat is a sign of weakness.

Success!

Ominous Visual Glitch: His aura occasionally has a glitch-like effect in some spots. The official Sonic Youtube channel's upload of his theme also has the image glitching out. His virtual reality constructs have the same glitching effect. Just before the final level of the game, Eggman is able to make him vanish like his constructs by recalling the Phantom Ruby, implying that part or all of his physical form had become a phantom construct. An unmasked Infinite is on the receiving end of this to Shadow in Eggman's Facility in Mystic Jungle, which would lead to his Start of Darkness and him becoming Infinite. Create Your Own Hero: Infinite himself would inevitability create someone who would oppose him — the future Rookie of the Resistance, who would go on to be the key player in stopping Infinite once and for all.

Evil Is Petty: His motivation for wanting to destroy the world and seek power? Because Shadow destroyed his squad, defeated him and called him weak. There's also a part of For the Evulz in that as well due to his sadism. Space Master: While the Phantom Ruby's powers are mostly centered around illusions and virtual reality, it does give Infinite some degree of spatial manipulation, mostly centered on controlling gravity. In Central City, Infinite uses the Phantom Ruby to screw with the gravity and he's also capable of creating Null Space, a seemingly inescapable void in space-time where nothing exists. Pitiful Worms: Constantly insults and belittles Sonic and the Resistance, referring to them with such terms as "rabble" and "ants" and "pests". In the Japanese version, he's quite fond of calling them "trash". In the " Team Rose" section, despite Chao being genderless, Chocola is referred to as Cheese's brother. This is consistent with the game, though.

Evil Counterpart: Infinite is a dark foil to the Avatar, making the conflict of Forces less of a battle between Sonic and Eggman and more of a match between their allies. The Stoic: To the point of Dissonant Serenity. Infinite is never seen to be anything other than unnervingly calm, barely raising his voice outside of the occasional Evil Laugh and two This Cannot Be! moments. It helps that the mask hides his facial expressions. Episode Shadow shows that he was more emotive prior to the game.

Infinite's character bears one perhaps even more noteworthy than the rare possibility of a second Phantom Ruby nullifying his powers: namely, his hopeless addiction to sadism. Infinite isn't interested in pragmatism; his personal agenda is domination, to relish in the fear, suffering, and subjugation of others as much as possible, constantly playing it off as it "not being worth the time" to finish off the enemy. Even after Eggman calls him out on letting Sonic live when he had him cornered, the one person who could absolutely ruin everything, Infinite tries to rationalize it away. Even beyond that, Infinite failed to recognize what he'd inadvertently created when he subjected the Avatar to the same experience that led to him becoming so powerful. Stupid Evil: His primary flaw is that he prioritizes indulging his own sadism over the mission, with disastrous results for both himself and Dr. Eggman. The first screenshot used for the Cavern Island's profile shows a screenshot of Volcanic Tunnel instead. Cyborg: The heroes believe he was built by Eggman, but in actuality he seems to be this. If nothing else, he has Eggman's perfected artificial Phantom Ruby embedded in his chest and some sort of upgrades that increased his physical abilities. This Cannot Be!: His normally unshakable demeanor has faltered on two occasions, the first being when the Avatar manages to survive Infinite's illusion during his fight with them, and the second being when he's defeated for the final time.Seven Deadly Sins: Fitting his role as a Classic Villain and Hate Sink, Infinite embodies all the cardinal sins throughout the game: The screenshot used to illustrate the Dream Fencing event from Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games instead uses a screenshot of the same event from Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. Evil Sounds Deep: Has a deep, scary voice that contains a noticeable echo effect, though that's likely due to the Phantom Ruby, as his voice before he had his mask was less intimidating, but still pretty deep. Das Spiel fehlt nämlich auch, obwohl das Buch damit wirbt, ALLE Spiele der letzten 30 Jahre zu beinhalten. Was ich wirklich vermisse, ist jedoch etwas anderes.
